ZEE-NUTS CARDS
Sacramento Senators (Solons)
From 1911-1938, the Collins-McCarthy Candy Company of San Francisco produced cards (usually black and white or sepia-toned) with images of the players from
the baseball teams in the Pacific Coast League. The cards came in packages of Zee-Nut candy. Most
Zee-Nut cards had a coupon attached to the bottom of the border, however, it is unusual for them to
be still attached because most kids cashed the coupons in for prizes. Some of the teams featured
over those years include the Hollywood Stars, Los Angeles Angels, Oakland Oaks, Portland Beavers, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Missions, San Francisco Seals, Seattle Indians (Rainiers), Vernon/Venice Tigers and theSacramento Senators (Solons). Featured here is a card for each year from Sacramento (with a few exceptions).
